Welcome to COCIN Lyoh-Rak, a local assembly of the Church of Christ in Nations, planted by God's providence and sustained by His faithfulness. What began in 2008 as a seed of vision in the hearts of a few faithful believers has, by the grace of God, blossomed into a growing family of over 90 communicant members - a living testimony that "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1).

Our Story

Our beginnings were humble - home fellowships, prayer gatherings, and believers walking long distances to worship together in one accord. Through seasons of waiting, delay, and uncertainty, God remained faithful, just as He promised: "Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay" (Habakkuk 2:3).

In 2015, we broke ground on our own site, and in 2016, we were formally inaugurated as a church - a moment of great celebration and thanksgiving to God for His unfailing love.

Today, we stand as one of five Local Church Councils in our region, united with Lyoh, Bukuru Gyel, Bwandang, Fwagul, and Gura Landoh, all laboring together in the vineyard of the Lord.

Our Vision

A Church in which the leadership and membership are maturing in Christ by obeying the Word of God, living holy lives, united and committed to worshipping God and spreading the holistic gospel - thereby impacting the world as salt and light, to the glory of God, until the return of Jesus Christ.

Our Mission

We exist to make disciples of Christ, to teach the whole counsel of God's Word, and to build a community bound together in love, faith, and service - so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith (Ephesians 4:12-13).

What We Stand On

Our Core Values

Biblical Authority

We hold the Bible as the infallible, final authority for faith and practice.

Christ-Centered Worship

Every gathering exists to glorify God and exalt Jesus Christ alone.

Holistic Discipleship

We nurture the whole person - spirit, soul, mind, and body - toward Christlike maturity.

Servant Leadership

Leadership among us is modeled after Christ, who came to serve, not to be served.

Community & Belonging

We are a family. No one worships, serves, or grows alone here.

Missional Living

We exist not for ourselves but to reach Lyoh-Rak, Jos, and the nations with the gospel.

What We Believe

Statement of Faith

The Scriptures

We believe the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God - the final rule for Christian faith and life.

The Godhead

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - equal in power and glory.

The Person of Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and His personal return in power and glory.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone - not by works, but unto good works.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering holy living, gifting the church for ministry, and bearing witness to Christ.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, and the proclamation of the gospel to all nations.

Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead - the saved to eternal life in the presence of God, and the lost to eternal separation from Him.
